YES is who we are because of allies, advocates, and supporters!
Supporters of YES have always made generous in-kind donations including food, clothes, shoes, household items (such as furniture, linens, and cooking supplies), hygiene products, toiletries, and baby supplies and equipment. These donations are used to support the youth directly at drop-in or where they may be residing.
YES also historically recruited, trained, and supported interns and volunteers to facilitate services and activities at YES. Peer interns in the past have managed our supply closets, assisted in the laundry room and kitchen, and provided other operational manpower both hands-on and behind the scenes. Community volunteers in the past have provided tutoring, offered one-on-one job-seeking support, run workshops and activities, and helped plan or manage events.
We look forward to having robust volunteer opportunities again as we re-open drop-in!
